My Story
Welcome to TikiJoe Arts. I'm Joe Schoonover aka "TikiJoe". I have been a full-time artist for over 20 years with studios in Central California and Dallas TX. My art has been featured on the covers of over 25 nature and conservation publications and several calendars.
I live primarily in Dallas Texas with my wife Lauri (also a full-time artist), a daughter, 2 cats, 6 lizards, and a tortoise .
My Art
My art is almost exclusively focused on the awe inspiring aspects of the natural world most often, the amazing creatures we share this planet with. Art should evoke feelings, tell a story and evoke emotion. I aspire to capture my subjects in a dramatic yet realistic way that hopefully inspires us to care about these amazing animals and in some small way contribute to their conservation.
